BIOGRAPHY

Daniel’s Voge artistic background is mostly classic.

In 1950, when he was only 15, he prepared the entrance exam to application arts and joined the famous “Ecole Boulle”. From 1951 to 1956, he attended the courses. It was five years of technical and artistic education: drawings, architecture, modelling, chasing, art history ... He then specialize in interior design and that was his job. But being a designer is not enough to full fit his creativity desire. He needs to express himself in other way.

From design to painting, there is only a step.

From 1956 to1970, he puts all the ardour of his youthfulness in many painting. It is a period of intense work of research and expression development where originality is his biggest concern. He thus set up a very individual style.

From 1970 to 1990, absorbed by his professional career, his painting activity goes slowly. However his spirit is still very alert and open to the various new waves and new techniques. During that time he re-discovered Picasso, Matisse and Braque.

From the beginning of the 90s, he starts a new phase of creation which is going to turn out very prolific. Approaching multiple themes, he is going to give free rein to his imagination and creativity to offer us abundant paintings where appears, through subtle lights and coloured harmonies, a vision both poetic and satiric of the world which surrounds us.

Daniel’s Work is extremely various: Still lives, Landscaped, Portraits or Woman silhouettes. Daniel pulls an original party of the commonness of things. Passionate, lover of the light and colours, he places an important part of himself in the way it interprets the reality. He has another way of saying it. His way of seeing things is very personal; it is from our age… and above all human.
